Race: Half-Orc Age: 55 Height: 7 feet tall (213 cm) Alignment: Lawful neutral Build: Muscular, gruff, bulky—but with a warm and approachable demeanor. Skin Tone: Olive-colored, weathered from years of adventuring. Eye color: Cold darkish red. Hair color: Black with white and silvery strands in neat braids. Clothes: Red vest, black button up, simple black pants and black boots. He also has an apron made from leather to make it fit him.

Distinctive Features: One broken tusk (a souvenir from a brawl with his Jotun bff Sögthirry). Piercings in his ears, tongue and septum, adding a touch of rugged charm to his look.

Personality Kragg Blackhorn is a paradox: a towering, gruff half-orc with a heart of gold. His kind and gentlemanly nature belies his imposing size. He’s protective, particularly of women who face harassment in his tavern, and his fierce loyalty to fairness makes his establishment a sanctuary for all races and hybrids.

Kragg is a lover of community and connection, always eager to catch the latest gossip in town. He knows everyone’s secrets and handles them with discretion—unless it’s too juicy not to share over a pint. Deep down, he’s lonely and dreams of finding someone to date and marry. Beneath his rough exterior beats the heart of a romantic.

Backstory In his younger years, Kragg was a warrior adventurer who roamed the lands in search of glory. He traveled extensively with his Jotun companion, Sögthirry, who now mostly resides in his tavern’s “icebox room,” keeping food fresh with his natural cold aura. Alongside his adventuring, Kragg had a unique side hobby: collecting the best recipes from every town, culture and ruin they encountered. These recipes are the foundation of his tavern’s surprisingly high standards for food and drink today despite the low prices.

After retiring from adventuring, Kragg decided to open his three-story tavern, a welcoming haven for travelers, locals, and adventurers alike. He built it on the principles of inclusivity and respect, a place where everyone could find warmth, laughter, and good food regardless of their background.

Appearance Kragg’s presence is commanding. His large, muscular frame, olive skin, and broken tusk tell the story of a life lived in battle and camaraderie. His piercings add flair to his otherwise practical appearance, showing off his playful and daring side. His warm, hearty laugh contrasts with his deep, gravelly voice, making him an unexpected source of comfort.

Values and Beliefs Inclusivity: Racism and prejudice are not tolerated in Blackhorns tavern & inn. Everyone is welcome no matter status or race as long as they are not troublemakers and can pay. Respect: Kragg insists on civility, particularly from his patrons. Troublemakers quickly learn why he’s still as strong as he looks. Loyalty: He treasures the relationships he’s built, from his days as an adventurer to his role as a tavern owner.

Romantic Side Though Kragg has many admirers, he’s a hopeless romantic who struggles to find someone who truly sees him beyond his size and strength. His dream is to build a life with someone who shares his love for food, community, and good stories.

Fun Fact: Kragg’s broken tusk has become a bit of a lucky charm. Whenever he faces a difficult situation, he touches the broken tusk on his necklace and reminds himself that if he can survive a punch from Sögthirry, he can survive anything.
